Located in a rural country setting, the house is ideal for people looking to be near the Chattooga and Chauga Rivers. It’s one-mile from Chattooga Belle Farm event venue, and five minutes from Bull Sluice and Woodall Shoals-popular destinations for fun on the river. Trailheads are nearby for accessing hiking and biking trails and amazing waterfalls. Local restaurants and bars are minutes up the road. Long Creek is a fun place to take it easy and the Moresun Bunkhouse is the perfect to stay awhile!
The Rooms
The Fields Room
Queen bedroom overlooks a grassy field. This room has a cherry bed that was custom made by homeowner Stephen Morrison.
The Butterfly Room
Queen bedroom with closet and soft mattress. This room is right next to the hall bathroom. The window looks out to the spacious backyard.
The Flower Room
This room has a twin over full bunkbed and sleeps 3 people. It has a closet and large windows with blackout curtains (as do all the rooms).
The Stay Wild Room
This room has two twin bunkbeds and sleeps 4 people.There is a closet and windows with blackout curtains.
The Futon Room
This room has a TV and a futon sofa that pulls out into a full-size bed. You’ll find toys, games and children’s books in this room.
Front Porch
The screened in porch overlooks the front yard and flower beds with seasonal interest. In the distance you can see the MoreSun Timber Frame shop.
The Kitchen
Open layout with counter space and stainless steel appliances. The dining table seats 6.
The Living Room
Sofa, love seat, side chairs and papasan. 55″ smart TV for viewing your favorite streaming channels.
The Bathrooms
There are two full bathrooms. The one in the hall has double sinks and a bathtub shower. The small bathroom off the kitchen was added on during the home renovation. It has a pocket door, shower stall, toilet and custom vanity built by Stephen.
Outdoor Spaces
There’s a screened porch and a covered carport that provides additional seating. You’ll find a second refrigerator, cornhole boards, river towels and yard games for playing outdoors. Gas grill and fire wood are provided. There is plenty of parking for numerous cars and trailers.
Special touches
The home is owned and operated by Chanda and Stephen Morrison. It is adjacent to the MoreSun Timber Frame business and within walking distance to the Long Creek Community Park. (You can see the house from Highway 76, but it sits back far enough that you don’t notice the road from the house.)
Landscape plants provide colorful cut flowers. Depending on bloom availability, Chanda and her daughters arrange flowers in vases the night before guests arrive.
Close to cool places!
The house is literally minutes from awesome outdoor adventures to be had within Sumter National Forest. You can hike, swim, float, raft, kayak, paint, fish or just relax surrounded by nature! You’ll be near access points to public land that is open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and is completely free to enjoy! (Sorry, this doesn’t include whitewater rafting trips with guided outfitters.)
