About Me
Hi, I’m Chanda.
I grew up in the suburbs but have lived in rural South Carolina since 1999. I live with my husband, Stephen Morrison, in a timber frame home he built on property surrounded by Sumter National Forest. We have three daughters who grew up playing on the wild and scenic Chattooga River. We own and operate a vacation rental home in Long Creek. Stephen owns MoreSun Timber Frames, a woodworking business that adjoins our rental property.
I love my rural lifestyle but realize the times are changing–rapidly. I keep up with local politics and know the area is under increasing pressure to grow and develop. I want to be part of solutions that result in smart growth, sustainable initiatives and encouraging less wasteful practices.
My hobbies include: Walking my dogs in the woods, healthy cooking, textile appreciation, sewing, decorating and landscaping. ☀️

Since 2013 I have been behind the scenes telling stories and promoting local places. I worked for Visit Oconee SC for over a decade highlighting destinations and businesses in Oconee County. I have a side-gig as a vacation rental property owner and hostess.
My background is expansive and I’m a multitasker. I am drawn to freelance and contract work that allows me flexibility to juggle our rental property, my family and my personal life.

In addition to my digital experience with online platforms, my secret passion is decorating and making rooms functional and inviting. I love to rearrange furnishings and hunt for unique second-hand finds.
I welcome a chance to reorganize existing spaces and offer tips and tweaks to maximize the atmosphere. I like running with a theme and I enjoy bringing ideas to life visually. I believe I have an eye for color and curating elements to achieve the desired vibe.
